DESCRIPTION:

This is the Mother House, where the family lived. It owes its name to the quince trees that abounded in the Farm, which, in autumn, when fruiting, gave a characteristic yellowish color of quinces to the entire surroundings, leading to it being known as Quinta do Marmeleiro. The house was recovered and rebuilt as a typical Alentejo building with thick walls to better adapt to the seasons, ideal for a good nap in summer, for its freshness, and to drink a good glass of wine by the fireplace in winter.
